Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences will open the UK’s largest official Harry Potter store on 4 November 2026, occupying more than 21,000 sq ft at The Ribbon, 134–140 Oxford Street.

Fans will line up.

Layout and themed zones

The two‑level flagship is modeled after Diagon Alley and will feature distinct retail sections, a food and beverage area, and items sold only at this location.

Visitors can expect a recreation of The Leaky Cauldron serving Butterbeer™ drinks, frozen versions, ice‑cream and related treats. A Gringotts‑inspired space will showcase a Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon installation, while a full‑size Knight Bus will sit toward the rear.

Exclusive merchandise includes a Diagon Alley wand, an Oxford Street‑themed Funko Pop, a collection of MinaLima artwork, and a set of Butterbeer labels. These offerings aim to draw both locals and tourists seeking items not found in the smaller outlet at King’s Cross station.

Official statements

Karl Durrant, senior vice president of retail for the division, said, “Following the success of our Harry Potter shops around the globe, opening the Harry Potter Shop in London is a truly special milestone. We’re incredibly proud to bring the magic back to the city where Harry Potter’s story began.” He added that every detail is intended to make fans feel as if they have stepped straight into Diagon Alley.

The company notes that the new venue joins a network of dedicated locations in New York, Chicago and Tokyo, complementing the existing Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesden.

Visitor expectations

According to the announcement, the food and beverage section will operate under the Leaky Cauldron name, offering both hot and chilled versions of the signature beverage. The Knight Bus display is positioned near the back, providing a photo backdrop for guests.

Fans are encouraged to explore the Diagon Alley layout, which includes shelving designed to resemble the iconic cobblestone streets seen in the films. The store’s design aims to transport visitors into the wizarding world, whether they are London residents or travelers from abroad.

While the Oxford Street location promises exclusive products, the existing King’s Cross shop continues to sell standard items and hosts the well‑known Platform 9¾ photo installation. The new venue’s opening adds another major attraction to the capital’s retail scene.
